Prayer for Jaco

You’re the God of this City
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You are

You’re the Light in this darkness
You’re the Hope to the hopeless
You’re the Peace to the restless
You are

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done here

We’ve been singing this song in worship.  It’s a song that I was looking at and it really stood out as a prayer for Jaco.  I found out from one of my students that the guys who wrote this song wrote it in Pattaya, Thailand, which is a town known for prostitution, very similar to here.   So, it’s very relevant to what is going on here in Jaco.  Many people are even saying that Costa Rica is the new Thailand.   We’re singing this and declaring it here in Jaco.

Love the words of song declaring God’s promises over the city!

    Hugs from the Arizonan desert,
