It’s that time again…

Preparing for the 2010 Children at Risk School.  We’re excited to do it again.  The 2009 school was a success and we have lots of ideas of how to improve and make 2010’s school even better.  We have Rachel Grimes returning as staff and a new staff member – Warner del Rio, who is in Liberia, Costa Rica finishing his internship working with children with special needs.  We’re really excited about him joining our team.  We’re in the process now of booking speakers, investigating new local outreach opportunities, new internship sites, seminars and re-evaluating assignments and other aspects of the school.  For those that haven’t been following along the past year – the children at risk school is a training program with the University of the Nations, focusing on training and raising up leaders who will champion the cause of children at risk in all spheres of society and around the world.  It’s a nine month training program with 3 months of lectures at our base in San Jose and six months of internship working hands-on with children at risk.  For more information visit: http://www.ywamsj.org
