We were blessed a few weeks ago by our cousin Carrie Gonzalo with a timeshare in Quepos! It was so awesome to get some time together as a family to see a bit of this beautiful country we’re in and have a little relaxation (as much relaxing as you can do with three little boys five and under!) We spent a day at the beach in Manuel Antonio, a state park. It is one of the most beautiful spots in Costa Rica. It was amazing. We saw all kinds of wildlife – mostly monkeys and iguanas in abundance. It was so cool.
I have to share one funny story from this day! Ezzy and Jude were sitting on the sand and Ezzy was eating a sandwich. All of a sudden, a HUGE iguana charged at them. It jumped over Jude and on top of Ezra, trying to grab the sandwich out of his hand. Leslie started screaming, Ezzy and Jude were screaming, it was crazy! Scott quickly grabbed the iguana and it was whipping his arm with it’s tail. He threw it into the jungle behind us. We had to be on guard the rest of the day because the iguanas kept starting to charge at us! It was so crazy, but now we are laughing about it, we have never seen anything like that!
Poor Ezzy was attacked by an iguana! He calls them, “Crocodiles”
