The task is great and we can’t do it alone – we need a team behind us!
God tells His people,
“Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:17
And again James 1:27 tells us,
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”
At the end of Jesus’ time on earth he gave us a command that many of us call, “The Great Commission.”
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations…” Matthew 28:19
We all have a part to play to fulfill these commands. Jesus asks us, His church, to be His hands and feet here on earth.
